I had tremendous back pain for 3 weeks. I was finally able to get an MRI and take it to Orthopaedic Specialty Institute on 10/30/25 where I had the GREAT fortune to be able to see Dr. Casey Slattery, a spine specialist. He reviewed my MRI and found a back fracture! His medical assistant Kim worked miracles and was able to get me admitted to Hoag hospital for surgery the very next day!! I had my 6 week check up today and I'm recovering and walking. I can't recommend this doctor and his medical assistant enough. He listened to everything I had to say and spent as much time as I needed. If you have spine problems, PLEASE go see Dr. Slattery. You will be glad you did.

He took the time to explain her spine issues in a way she could easily understand, and she left the appointment feeling confident and cared for. Our wait time upon arrival to see Dr. Slattery was minimal. In addition to being prompt, he is a good listener and an excellent communicator and genuinely cares about his patients and their welfare. He provides thoughtful and helpful information and takes a conservative approach to treatment options. We wouldn't hesitate to refer others to him. And his assistant and support staff are a joy to work with.
